People can join beekeeper, anthropologist, and museum docent Sara Carmody for a fun and family-friendly exploration of the life of bees! Sara has traveled to Southeast Asia to study bees and is currently training to become a master beekeeper. Learn about bees and the tools of beekeepers, and then build a "Bee Hotel" for native bees that are essential pollinators that can pollinate up to three times more than a honeybee.
The Bee Hotels will be made from bamboo and can attract native bees that are docile and solitary. The hotels could attract miner bees, leafcutter bees, and mason bees that use the hotel to lay their eggs.
